It is a must-win game, after Manchester United lost to Leeds, with the race for Champions League football heating up.
Victory would put United 10 points clear inside the top five, with Carrick being handicapped by injury and suspension following shambolic FA decisions impacting United.
Senne Lammens starts in goal for United, to no surprise, given he is among the first names on the team sheet.
The back four was the point of concern pre-game, with Carrick opting for Noussair Mazraoui at centre-back, partnering Ayden Heaven. While Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw are at full-back.
