James Justin kicked things off on Saturday as Leeds United beat Wolves 3-0.
Leeds United have recorded consecutive Premier League wins at the perfect time according to James Justin, who opened the scoring in Saturday’s 3-0 win at home to Wolves.
Justin’s brilliant acrobatic finish made it 1-0 inside 18 minutes on Saturday, with the versatile defender’s bicycle kick coming after Ethan Ampadu saw a close-range effort saved. Those inside Elland Road had barely sat back down when Brenden Aaronson found Noah Okafor to double that lead less than 90 seconds later.
Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci forced a brilliant reflex save from Karl Darlow in the second-half and Adam Armstrong had a goal ruled out for offside. But it was Leeds who scored goal number three, Dominic Calvert-Lewin burying an added-time penalty he won.
Asked whether he feels this week has been a season-defining one for Leeds, Justin told Sky Sports: "Yeah definitely. It's crunch time. We put two good wins back-to-back for the first time this season. What a time to do it. It gives us a bit of a buffer and it's looking good.
"We knew we couldn't wait for the crowd to pick us up, we had to pick the crowd up. After the win the other night we knew the expectation was to come back home and win again. We had to put our foot on the gas from minute one.”
“When the ball was in the air I just thought why not? I had no idea where it was going but luckily it went in so I'm really happy."
Having seen his side win a top-flight game at Manchester United for the first time since 1981 on Monday, Farke warned against complacency when it came to rock-bottom Wolves. But Leeds exerted control through much of the 90 minutes with a second win in six days sending them nine clear of relegation trouble.

That points cushion will be anywhere between six and nine by the end of West Ham’s trip to Crystal Palace on Monday, with just five games left for Leeds to maintain that gap. They travel to Bournemouth on Wednesday before meetings with Burnley, Tottenham, Brighton and West Ham the other side of an FA Cup semi-final.
Leeds are just one draw away from reaching the previously targeted 40-point mark but even that will not guarantee safety just yet. And having been involved in relegation battles at Leicester City, Justin knows how important it is to keep winning points right until the end
"It's not over until it's over,” he added. “We're on a good points total but until we are mathematically safe we will still work hard until the end."
