The planned protest organised by Chelsea and Strasbourg supporters took place before the start of the Blues’ Premier League clash against Manchester United on Saturday night.
Chelsea fans are far from happy with how the club is being run by Behdad Eghbali, Todd Boehly and the sporting directors they have hired.
Eghbali and Boehly, who also own Strasbourg through their company BlueCo, have also infuriated supporters of their French club. Earlier in the season, BlueCo transferred Liam Rosenior from Strasbourg to Chelsea, which they were not happy about.

Chelsea fans claim sporting directors are trying to turn club into Brighton
One reason why Chelsea fans are so annoyed with the club right now is because of the current transfer strategy in place.
Under co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, the Blues’ focus has been on signing young players with potential.
Chelsea have also brought in several players from Brighton & Hove Albion, which includes Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez.

While the signings of Caicedo and Cucurella have worked out, fans at Saturday’s protest hit out at the club’s sporting directors for, in their eyes, being determined to turn the team into Brighton. Lloyd Canfield of The Sun was one journalist covering the scenes at the demonstration.
As for Sanchez, he has been very hit and miss at Stamford Bridge and could be replaced this summer. Sunderland’s Robin Roefs is one goalkeeper being linked to Chelsea ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Chelsea could sign another player from Brighton this summer
Before the end of the summer, Chelsea could become even more like Brighton. They are said to be interested in yet another player from the Amex Stadium: Jan Paul van Hecke.
It has been suggested that Chelsea could sign Van Hecke in a £50m deal before the start of the 2026/27 season.
While the Dutchman may be another Brighton player, he is more experienced than most of Chelsea’s recent signings.
