Chelsea player ratings vs Man United as Enzo Fernandez shines but 3/10 star was useless

Chelsea suffered a fourth successive defeat in the Premier League, as Manchester United won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Liam Rosenior’s side were the aggressor in the first-half, but they just couldn’t find the back of the net as so many chances were squandered.

The Blues’ attack completely faded away in the second half, with Liam Delap even hitting the crossbar early in the second-half, but it just wasn’t to be.

Liam Delap finally got his chance to start against Manchester United ✅

How would you rate his performance?

Chelsea player ratings vs Man United

Rosenior had to make do without his main man, Joao Pedro, who is suffering from a thigh injury.

Let’s take a look at The Chelsea Chronicle’s player ratings for the game…

Robert Sanchez: 6/10

Nothing Robert Sanchez could do about the goal and was relatively untroubled.

Malo Gusto: 6/10

Looked fairly assured in defence and tried to get forward and support Pedro Neto.

Wesley Fofana: 6/10

Looked comfortable against Benjamin Sesko and was rarely bothered, as well as bringing the ball forward to try and get the attack going.

Jorrel Hato: 7/10

Was one of the shining lights for Chelsea, using his pace to great effect to recover and track runs in behind, plus recorded four clearances on the night.

Marc Cucurella: 6/10

Got involved in plenty of the action in attack and came in field to try and get things going, plus kept Bryan Mbeumo under wraps all game.

Moises Caicedo: 6/10

Looked rather comfortable in midfield, pressing the Man United midfielders, and even saw his shot go agonisingly wide in the second half.

Enzo Fernandez: 7/10

Enzo Fernandez created most of Chelsea’s chances in the first-half, getting on the ball and making things happen, but went slightly quieter in the second-half.

Cole Palmer: 5/10

Tried to be positive, but very little came off for Palmer. Gave the ball away on a couple of occasions and looked short on confidence.

Pedro Neto: 5/10

Almost created an equaliser for Liam Delap, but the crossbar got in the way. Made an effort to make things happen with some dangerous crosses from the right. Was sloppy in possession at times.

Estevao Willian: 6/10

Estevao was a real bright spark and went close before being substituted due to an injury.

Liam Delap: 5/10

Really struggled to get in the right areas in the first-half and scored an offside goal that could have easily been avoided. Improved in the second-half and even hit the crossbar.

Alejandro Garnacho: 3/10

Gave the ball away almost every time he touched it. Struggled to offer anything against Diogo Dalot.

Romeo Lavia: N/A

Trevoh Chalobah: N/A

Josh Acheampong: N/A
