Here are your player ratings from Manchester United’s 1-0 win against Chelsea:
Had one shaky moment where he parried the ball towards a Chelsea shirt, but the goal that followed from that action was called offside. Fortunate to keep a clean sheet as Chelsea hit the woodwork on three occasions.
Wasn’t troubled by Chelsea’s left wingers. Helped in build up, but didn’t offer a lot when he got to the final third.
Struggled a bit in the first half, but that’s to be expected in an unfamiliar position. Got out of the game without conceding, which was the most important part.
Another solid display from the youngster. He was the best player in the backline today and defended his box well.
Doesn’t make runs forward like he used to, but he was fine defensively.
Wasn’t really challenged for most of the game. Kept things simple.
Showed some composure today. Kept things ticking; needs to keep this up.
Another assist for the captain. Only starter who looked a bit lively in the final third today.
Scored the all-important goal, and it was a fine finish, but had some poor touches before that and didn’t really threaten the Chelsea backline enough.
Hasn’t shown his qualities in over a month now. Needs a big performance soon.
Quiet game. Pulled the defender away for the goal, but didn’t offer much other than that.
Bought some energy to the side.
Another limp performance but a fantastic result. All about getting over the line at this stage.
