Liam Rosenior delivers injury updates on Estevao and Enzo Fernandez

Liam Rosenior has delivered updates on the fitness of Estevao Willian and Enzo Fernandez after both were forced off during our frustrating 1-0 defeat to Manchester United this evening.

Estevao started tonight's Premier League clash but, having almost broken the deadlock with a shot that shaved the post, the 18-year-old Brazilian was forced off in the 16th minute of the game.

Fernandez, meanwhile, played 88 minutes on his return to the side following a two-game absence. Unfortunately, the Argentine midfielder was unable to complete the contest and was replaced late on by [Romeo Lavia](/en/teams/profile/romeo-lavia).

When asked about Estevao's fitness in his post-match press conference, Rosenior said: ‘He was crying at half time; it was really devastating for him.

'It looks like it's his hamstring and that has happened in a moment when he's running through on their goal for a one-v-one chance – he pulls his hamstring in that moment. I hope Este comes back sooner rather than later.'

On Fernandez, our head coach added: I just saw him in the dressing room – I think it was his calf.

'I’m hoping it's cramp; he’s getting work on it right now because we want him, obviously, fit for Tuesday \[against Brighton and Hove Albion.'

'He ran himself into the ground for the club tonight and I expect nothing different from a man of his stature and quality.
