What Mason Mount did to Stamford Bridge fans at full time after Man Utd beat Chelsea

Mason Mount had his comeback outing for Manchester United off the bench against Chelsea as he helped see out the victory.

Stamford Bridge played host as Manchester United beat Chelsea 2-1 on Saturday night, taking a leap towards qualifying for the Champions League.

Michael Carrick will have been thrilled with his defence, particularly along with the midfield, as they secured a hard-fought win.

United had numerous top performers, but everyone played their part. This includes the late substitute appearance of Mason Mount.

Mason Mount sends a statement to Stamford Bridge

Mount emerged from the bench to thunderous boos from the Chelsea support because he left them in 2023, despite him leaving on good terms and helping them win a Champions League title.

The United number seven came on and did dirty work, got booked, and just helped to see out the win.

All the while, Chelsea fans booed Mount.

But upon the final whistle, he got the last laugh as he shushed the home supporters as he celebrated, claiming a victory over his former club.

The booing was illogical from Chelsea fans, as his sale was a good move by the Blues, as his best came for them, only to struggle for United.

Wow! This proves it is all about taking your chances!

Mount is all in on Manchester United

Since leaving Chelsea, he hasn’t been treated like a former academy player who left on good terms.

United fans boo Alejandro Garnacho for good reason, but the Mount treatment is illogical, including aggressive behaviour from Enzo Fernandez towards him in previous meetings.

Clearly, Mount has had enough of this and responded to the home support at Stamford Bridge, and it was about time.

Mount has picked United over Chelsea by doing this, and it shows how he feels about the Red Devils.

If Mount stays fit and ends up on lower wages, he could be a brilliant squad player, given how he seems to love the club.
