Chelsea star 'crying' in the dressing room as Liam Rosenior's problems worsen

The mood at Stamford Bridge darkened further after the match as Liam Rosenior confirmed a devastating hamstring injury to Estevao, revealing the teenager was in tears in the dressing room.

Estevao Willian’s debut season at Chelsea has been increasingly disrupted by a series of absences that have hindered his momentum. In February, the teenager was granted compassionate leave to return to Brazil for personal reasons, missing key fixtures including the victory over West Ham.

Shortly after his return, a recurring hamstring issue began to plague Estevao, forcing him to miss the clash with Burnley in late February and several subsequent games throughout March.

His highly anticipated start against Manchester United on Saturday was supposed to signal a fresh start, but it ended in heartbreak. The eighteen-year-old lasted only sixteen minutes before pulling up with a sharp pain in his leg while attempting a shot.

And Liam Rosenior has now given us an update.

Time for Liam Rosenior to be sacked? Or is this mess down to the owners?🤔

Estevao Willian upset after suffering an injury

Liam Rosenior provided an update on Estevao Willian after the game, stating that he injured his hamstring and was crying in the dressing room at half-time.

He hopes to have the Brazilian back in action soon.

Chelsea are a shadow of themselves without Estevao Willian’s creative spark. His absence leaves the attack predictable and static, lacking the verticality and flair needed to break down low blocks.

As you can see with Alejandro Garnacho’s performance against his former club Manchester United, there aren’t many quality options at Rosenior’s disposal.

An update on Enzo Fernandez’s injury

Estevao wasn’t the only casualty, as Enzo Fernandez also suffered an injury and looked in pain in the dying embers of the game.

Rosenior also provided an update on his situation.

“I think it was his calf. I’m hoping it was cramp, we need him for Tuesday.”
