Report: What Chelsea fans did to Liam Rosenior as he approached them after Manchester United defeat

Chelsea supporters’ patience with Liam Rosenior has finally run out after Saturday’s loss to Manchester United.

The Blues lost 1-0 to United at home, their fourth consecutive defeat in the Premier League.

Before kick-off, Chelsea fans aimed their frustration at the club’s owners, but they have now turned some of that towards Rosenior.

What do you make of supporters protesting against BlueCo right before this game?

Matthew Harding Stand booed Liam Rosenior

After yet another defeat, it would have been easy for Rosenior to head straight down the Stamford Bridge tunnel following the full-time whistle.

However, the 41-year-old decided to go around the pitch to show his appreciation to the club’s supporters instead.

It did not go down well, though. According to the Daily Mail, Rosenior was met with boos and some very unkind gestures as he approached the Matthew Harding Stand.

It is understandable that the Matthew Harding Stand and the rest of Stamford Bridge are not happy with Rosenior and his team right now.

Their defeat to United means they have not won a home game in the Premier League since January. It is an awful record.

At one stage during the match, Chelsea fans were heard chanting Frank Lampard’s name, though that was more likely down to his promotion success with Coventry City than anything else.

Time for Liam Rosenior to be sacked? Or is this mess down to the owners?🤔

Why Chelsea supporters should go easy on Liam Rosenior

Chelsea fans should be a little bit more sympathetic towards Rosenior. He was given a bad hand by the club, as was Enzo Maresca.

Simply put, Chelsea entered this season under-equipped. Their squad had no dominant and experienced centre-back and lacked experience in general.

The wingers have not shown enough consistency, while the goalkeeper position has been a major issue. The owners and sporting directors are to blame for putting together a squad that clearly cannot compete against the likes of United and Aston Villa.

With all of that being said, you cannot help but feel that Chelsea would be in a much better position had Maresca remained at the helm after the job that he did last season.
