Caswell is chief executive of Cannae Holdings, which is Foley’s investment company which provides much of the funding for Black Knight Sports and Entertainment, which will be the new owner of the rugby club.

The multimillion-pound deal will see new capital invested in the club which has been propped up by Rowe for the best part of 30 years.

BKFC currently own Bournemouth, Lorient and Aukland in football, along with a stake in Moreirense and Foley also owns the Vegas Golden Knights ice hockey team.
