Bruno Fernandes adds to Luke Shaw dig at Alejandro Garnacho after Man Utd beat Chelsea

Manchester United fans jeered Alejandro Garnacho and it seems the players were just as desperate to prove a point to the Carrington graduate.

Alejandro Garnacho burned bridges on his way out of Manchester United last summer, lashing out at Ruben Amorim and disrespecting the club as he pushed through a £40 million move to Chelsea.

During United’s 1-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday evening, Diogo Dalot dominated Garnacho out wide, much to the enjoyment of Red Devils fans around the globe.

Even when Garnacho switched sides, he struggled against Luke Shaw. After the full-time whistle, the English defender celebrated in style on social media.

Luke Shaw and Bruno Fernandes aim dig at Alejandro Garnacho

Shaw was outstanding against Chelsea, particularly going forward, where he was a constant threat on the overlap.

But in defence, Shaw contributed to United’s clean sheet by keeping Garnacho quiet.

On Instagram, Shaw’s post was captioned “important win”, and the photo he chose was of him beating Garnacho in a duel.

Man Utd players were happy to see Alejandro Garnacho leave

Based on the performance and post-match social media posts, it seems there is just as much frustration towards Garnacho from the players as there is from fans.

Garnacho insisted Chelsea was a ‘step forward’ from his time at United, but he is being proven completely wrong.

Garnacho’s minutes have been reduced and Chelsea are at risk of missing out on European football after losing four Premier League matches in a row.

Matheus Cunha has been an upgrade on Garnacho and he proved it with his winning goal at Stamford Bridge.
