The midfielder was a target for Rangers in the winter window.
Rangers and Celtic could watch one of their winter transfer targets head for England this summer as Wolves eye him for their summer rebuild.
The Molineux side are destined for the Championship after a poor Premier League campaign bit reinforcements for boss Rob Edwards are being eyed for an instant comeback. Jens Hjerto-Dahl has shown promise in Norway at Tromso and a move to Rangers was heavily mooted but the midfielder opted to stay put in Scandinavia.
Talk of Celtic has also been mooted and reports coming out of the winter window have suggested he is one both sides of the Old Firm still like. He signed a new contract at Tromso in February but the Sun now claim Wolves could jump in with Hjerto-Dahl’s price tag heading towards the £10m range.

Will Jens Hjerto-Dahl make a transfer move this summer?
That would possibly pose an issue for Rangers and Celtic who do not often cross the eight-figure mark in terms of transfer fees. Celtic’s record signing is Arne Engels in 2024 at £11m while Rangers striker Youssef Chermiti signed for £8m rising to £10m from Everton this season. Reporting states: “Wolves are lining up a summer swoop for red-hot Tromso ace Jens Hjerto-Dahl.
“The midfielder, 20, has exploded on to the scene in Norway and is now on the radar of top European clubs, with Wanderers ready to make their move. SunSport understands Hjerto-Dahl could fetch over £10million and both Hamburg and Sporting are also circling.
“The Norwegian Under-21 international has been in blistering form, netting four goals in his first three league games this season. Hjerto-Dahl, who only penned a new long-term deal in February, was wanted in January by Rangers and Besiktas and the race for his signature is heating up fast.
What has Jens Hjerto-Dahl said about signing new Tromso contract?
“He has even drawn comparisons to Lazio powerhouse Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who was a long-term target for Manchester United in years gone by. This underlines his potential, and a first senior Norway call-up to play alongside Erling Haaland and Co looks imminent.”
After signing a new Tromso deal, the midfielder said: “I have great faith in the work we do here at TIL. Very proud to represent the city and the club in my heart, and I look forward to creating new moments at the stadium again with you.”
A club statement added: “Jens Hjerto-Dahl has chosen to extend his contract with us and is signing 4 new years. Jens is a real Tromso boy and has long been one of our greatest talents. He has gone through all the ranks in Tromso IL since he was little and now he signs another long-term contract with the club that extends until 2029. The main character himself is very happy that a new contract has been signed and is ready for the coming year.”
