Why Pedro Neto got angry at another ball boy in Chelsea's loss to Manchester United - journalist

Being a ball boy while Chelsea winger Pedro Neto is on the pitch is probably not a good idea right now!

Neto got into a small altercation with one during the first leg of Chelsea’s Champions League last 16 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

With it being a Chelsea ball boy this time around, there was no altercation in Saturday’s loss to Manchester United. But the 26-year-old was still quite unhappy after one moment.

Reece James and Levi Colwill watched on as Chelsea lost a fourth consecutive Premier League game against Manchester United! Where would the Blues be if they stayed fit? 🤔

Top five?

Pedro Neto wanted ball from ball boy quicker before free-kick

Before one free-kick, a ball boy seemingly took too long to hand over the ball to Neto.

According to journalist Lloyd Canfield, the Portuguese fumed at the ball boy for how slow he was before also showing some frustration at teammate Malo Gusto.

One of Gusto’s passes to Neto went straight out of play, leaving the Portugal international far from happy. All in all, it was a frustrating night for Neto and Chelsea, who have now lost four consecutive games in the Premier League.

In that barren run, Liam Rosenior’s side have failed to score, showing how poor Neto and the rest of the team’s attack have been.

With that being said, Neto did have some bright moments against United and was perhaps Chelsea’s best attacker. He managed to make a couple of key passes and complete a few crosses.

Say what you want about Pedro Neto, but he had a better game against Manchester United than Cole Palmer 🤷‍♂️

In contrast, Cole Palmer was pretty quiet after starting the game quite well. In the coming weeks, he needs to be more productive, as does everyone else.

Going four games in the Premier League without scoring is unacceptable after all of the money Chelsea have spent on their attack.

Rosenior is not giving up on top five just yet, but Chelsea’s chances of finishing there are very slim. Neto, Palmer, Alejandro Garnacho and Estevao Willian have not done enough in the English top flight this season. Chelsea deserve to be in the Europa League or Conference League next term.
