Head coach Vitor Pereira has named his Nottingham Forest team to face Burnley in this afternoon’s crucial Premier League clash.

The Reds have a big opportunity to put a bit of distance between themselves and the relegation zone on the banks of the Trent. They have six games remaining to get over the line in the battle for survival, but it is incredibly tight at the bottom end of the table.

Tottenham Hotspur closed the gap to Forest to two points with their 2-2 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday. West Ham United are just one point below the Reds and take on Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Pereira’s men are on their longest unbeaten run of the campaign, having made it six games without defeat in all competitions on Thursday. Their 1-0 victory over Porto at the City Ground clinched a 2-1 aggregate win and a place in the Europa League semi-finals, where they will face Aston Villa.

Balancing the demands of competing on two fronts has been a challenge for the Reds all season and their midweek success did come at a cost. Chris Wood, Murillo and Callum Hudson-Odoi were all forced off with injuries against the Portuguese visitors.

Murillo and Wood are both fit to start this afternoon. Midfielder Elliot Anderson was absent against Porto following the death of his mother, but the England international is in the line-up today.

Pereira has made four changes to his starting XI from the European clash. Matz Sels, Nikola Milenkovic, Anderson and Dilane Bakwa are in the team in place of Stefan Ortega, Jair Cunha, Nicolas Dominguez and Dan Ndoye.

Sels will line up behind a back line of Ola Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo and Neco Williams. Anderson will partner Ibrahim Sangare in midfield.

Bakwa will join Morgan Gibbs-White and Omari Hutchinson in providing attacking support for front man Wood. The bench will be made up of Ortega, Morato, Taiwo Awoniyi, Dominguez, Igor Jesus, Ryan Yates, Jair, James McAtee and Luca Netz.
