Joe Cole makes claim about Chelsea players' agents after Manchester United loss

Joe Cole has a warning for the bosses at Chelsea after they watched their side suffer another disappointing defeat.

Liam Rosenior’s men lost 1-0 to Manchester United on Saturday, their fourth consecutive loss in the Premier League.

It has left them with a lot of work to do in the race for Champions League qualification, with it now looking like they will miss out on a spot in the top five.

One clean sheet in the Premier League and 35 goals conceded in all competitions under Rosenior 😳

Joe Cole claims Chelsea players will ask their agents for moves if club don’t win trophies

Cole really fears for his former club with the state that they are in right now. If Chelsea do not turn things around and start winning the biggest trophies again, he expects players to ask their agents for transfers.

Speaking on TNT Sports, the ex-Chelsea attacker said: “You come here and you expect to win trophies, so if it doesn’t happen, then the facts of the matter are, there will be players in that dressing room that will be telling their agents, ‘Can you get me out of here?’

“I can’t come out here and lie, that will happen, regardless of what they say or what statements they do, because that is the nature of the beast with footballers. It is a short career and you want to win trophies.”

One current Chelsea star, Enzo Fernandez, already looks like he has had enough. Amid the team’s slump in form, the midfielder has refused to rule out a move to Real Madrid this summer.

It saw him receive a two-game suspension from the club, which he served against Manchester City and Port Vale.

Fernandez returned for the United match and played quite well, but Chelsea may need to start preparing for life after him.

Most likely candidates to leave Chelsea in near future

Moises Caicedo just signed a new contract, so it is likely that he will remain at Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old is clearly happy at the club despite the team’s underperformance.

Cole Palmer, despite having a very long contract, is a more likely candidate to go if things do not improve. A player of his calibre is always going to have suitors, and they may pounce and convince him to join them if Chelsea become a Europa League team.

Ultimately, Fernandez and Palmer are probably the two players you can imagine leaving Chelsea in the future should the club not get back to where they once were.
