Leeds United’s attention next week shifts to the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, after a midweek clash with Bournemouth away from home.
A win against Wolves surely has Leeds looking ahead to another season in the Premier League in 26/27. We’re eight points clear with five to play, and very much playing like a side that aren’t destined for the drop.
Now, us fans can look forward to next weekend. A brilliant day out at Wembley awaits against Chelsea on Sunday, dreaming of a stunning FA Cup triumph.

Daniel Farke won’t afford himself and the Leeds squad the luxury of taking our foot off the gas away to Bournemouth on Wednesday.
We’re not mathematically safe, so the task at hand is breaking the 40-point barrier and making absolutely sure. But, beyond a trip to the South Coast, Leeds fans are already champing at the bit to make next Sunday an afternoon to remember against Chelsea.
The Blues, meanwhile, are in a dire spot. Losing at home to Man Utd last night, Liam Rosenior’s men are in serious danger end ending the season without European football. As things stand, they are sixth on 48 points, but have lost four on the bounce without scoring. They are only three points ahead of Fulham in 12th.
The Daily Mail’s Kieran Gill has detailed the Blues’ current demise, as the headline begins: “Chelsea cannot score or defend.” It then includes a damning verdict on their lack of quality at both ends of the pitch.
“‘We want our Chelsea back,’ was the song reverberating around Stamford Bridge as we neared the conclusion of this latest calamity, and indeed, you can see why they no longer recognise their club,” he wrote. “So used to conquering, now they cannot score, and cannot defend.”
In particular, Cole Palmer’s struggles for form continued. With nine goals and just one assist in the league, his malaise is a perfect summary of everything currently unravelling at Stamford Bridge.
“Palmer is still stranded on only one assist all season. He looks lost. All of Chelsea’s players do,” Gill ended the piece.
Leeds United have to take the game to Chelsea at Wembley

Start aggressively, press high, and be confident in possession. We got our reward in the past three games for being brave on the ball and intense without it, and that must continue against Chelsea.
Of course, the Bournemouth game comes first. But, all eyes are on the trip to Wembley, where we should fancy our chances of shocking Chelsea in the semi-final.
They’re struggling badly, we’ve already taken four points off them, and we are in the mood for this semi-final. It could be a day to remember.
