Daniel Farke provided Leeds United injury news after Saturday’s win against Wolves.
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has provided fitness updates on three Whites stars following Saturday’s win against Wolves and his James Justin hope.
Farke remained minus the the serves of Anton Stach, Joe Rodon and Dan James as Leeds approached Saturday’s visit of Wolves although Farke said on Thursday that all three players were being assessed day to day and that two more days at least offered the possibility of a surprise.
Stach and Rodon both suffered ankle injuries in the FA Cup quarter-final victory at West Ham and it was initially thought that May would be a more realistic timeframe for when the pair woud return whilst James suffered an adductor strain in the session before the game against the Irons.
Rodon, though, returned to the bench for Saturday’s clash against Wolves and even bagged a late few minutes from the bench as Farke’s side saw out a 3-0 success.
Speaking post match to BBC Radio Leeds, Farke revealed that Rodon had trained on Friday to such an effect that he decided to name him in his matchday squad and also declared his hope that both Stach and James would now be back “pretty soon”.
The Whites boss was also asked about James Justin who was seen stretching off towards the end of the 3-0 success, the Leeds boss thinking Justin just had a case of cramp.
“Pretty soon also available really for the games”
Asked if Leeds came through with a clean bill of health and about Justin stretching off towards the end, Farke said: "Yes I think just some cramps anyhow.
"He has to play every position at the moment and each and every second.
"I was delighted to have Joe Rodon a bit earlier back than expected.
"He trained yesterday with us and had a good run and he is a warrior anyhow.
"I got the feeling, come on, put him back on the team sheet and he helped us in the final minutes.
"It's good to have him back. I hope also Anton and Daniel James will be pretty soon also available really for the games so as it stands everyone came through without injuries."
