Tolu Arokodare has faced disciplinary action by Wolves and is likely to depart the club this summer after a dressing room bust-up with team-mate Mateus Mane, the Express & Star understands.

Following the 4-0 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium, it is understood a disagreement between the two players led to Arokodare being the sole aggressor in an incident with Mane.

Wolves have since fined the striker, who has remained part of the training group and matchday squad since.

However, he did not play at the weekend against Leeds and Wolves staff and players were particularly upset at Arokodare’s behaviour after West Ham.

As a result, the player is likely to depart this summer if a deal can be reached.

The Nigerian striker, who has been involved in other dressing room incidents and arguments throughout the season, was only signed in the summer for an initial £22.5million.

He has scored six goals in a Wolves shirt this season, with three in the Premier League, in an underwhelming campaign.

Due to the high price Wolves paid for him, and his book value in the club's finances, it is unlikely Wolves will receive a big enough bid to consider selling him permanently, while Wolves will want to avoid making a loss on him.

As a result, a loan move away is the more likely solution in the coming months, in the hope Arokodare can have a prolific season and increase his value.
