Footage shows Gabriel Jesus bite back at taunting Man City fan during Arsenal defeat

Gabriel Jesus hit out at a Manchester City fan labelling him a 'Judas' during Arsenal's defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

The Arsenal forward could only watch from the sidelines as the title pendulum swung back in City's favour with Pep Guardiola's side winning 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

In a fiercely competitive Sunday showdown, the two best teams in the land went toe-to-toe and passions understandably ran high on the pitch.

They also ran high off the pitch with Jesus, who didn't feature in the game, getting into a verbal barb with a taunting City fan.

Jesus, who joined Arsenal from City in 2022, was accused of betraying his former club while the match was being played.

The Brazilian decided to hit back at the fan who filmed the exchange by walking over and reminding him of the stellar work he did during his five-and-a-half year stay at the Etihad.

"I won 11 titles here," Jesus is heard saying to the fan in the video before resuming his position on the touchline to continue his warm-up.

Jesus' claim of winning 11 titles is slightly inaccurate having in fact won ten trophies with City.

The 29-year-old won four Premier League trophies, an FA Cup, three Carabao Cups and two Community Shields.

Any hurt Jesus was feeling from that exchange will have been outweighed by the disappointment he and his Arsenal teammates felt when the full-time whistle was blown, however.

Arsenal have a three-point lead at the top of the Premier League but the initiative has been handed to City as they have a game in hand on the Gunners and are only one goal behind on goal difference.

That game in hand comes on Wednesday night, with City facing lowly Burnley at Turf Moor, live and exclusively on talkSPORT.

City took the lead with a brilliant goal from Cherki in the 16th minute.

The Frenchman was fed by Matheus Nunes after a Rodri cross was only half-cleared and weaved around two defenders before placing a shot into the bottom corner.

It was a stunning effort but, for City, the sublime was immediately followed by the ridiculous as, just two minutes later, Donnarumma dithered as the ball was sent back to him from a throw-in.

There's no doubt it's advantage City in the title race

Havertz chased what seemed an unlikely cause and was rewarded as Donnarumma's clearance cannoned off his foot into the net.

It was the German's first league goal since scoring against City in February 2025 but the visitors could not build on it.

Haaland missed the target and Marc Guehi headed at Raya before Antoine Semenyo went close.

Haaland hit the outside of a post early in the second half but Arsenal did begin to step up approaching the hour.

A slick move led to Martin Odegaard playing Havertz through on goal but Donnarumma atoned for his earlier error as he raced off his line to block. City had another let-off as Eberechi Eze curled against a post.

The game swung from end to end and City reclaimed the lead as they attacked down the left and Nico O'Reilly's cross was helped on by Rodri and Haaland swivelled inside the area to score.

Tempers began to fray late on and Gabriel was fortunate to escape with a booking after pushing his head towards Haaland in a flare-up of an old rivalry.

Havertz went close to a stoppage-time equaliser but his header flew over and City held on.
