Liverpool might be interested to hear that Arsenal are considering offers for two of the brightest young prospects in the Premier League.
As the Gunners stumble to the finish line in what has been an unconvincing title charge, there has been growing speculation around the futures of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri beyond the end of this campaign.
Lewis-Skelly has taken a step back from last season, now firmly the third choice at left-back for Mikel Arteta. Nwaneri has had even less of a look-in, sent out to Marseille on loan in January. The two 19-year-olds represent pure profit for Arsenal, and there’s a chance Liverpool can capitalise.

Liverpool signing Myles Lewis-Skelly or Ethan Nwaneri not out of the question
There hasn’t been a whole lot of business done between the two Premier League giants. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain moved from Arsenal to Liverpool, but that’s about the only modern example.
But the North London outfit have shown an openness to doing big business within the division.
Kai Havertz and Noni Madueke arrived at the Emirates from Chelsea, and Gabriel Jesus was signed from Man City. On the selling side, they have offloaded Emile Smith-Rowe, Eddie Nketiah and Aaron Ramsdale to Premier League clubs.
It’s not just Arsenal, either. Many of the top clubs in England are trading more with financial regulations often creating situations where sales are made that wouldn’t usually be.

Arsenal have to free up funds, and BBC Sport claim they ‘will listen to offers’, and ‘would look to recoup a minimum combined £100 million’ for the England starlets.
Liverpool need left-back depth with Andy Robertson on his way out, for which Lewis-Skelly would be perfect. There’s also an avenue for him to get into Arne Slot’s midfield unit. He should be the priority out of the two.
But Nwaneri would also be a stunning pick-up. With Mohamed Salah’s decision to leave Liverpool, that right-wing spot is there for the taking. We all know the potential Nwaneri possesses, and adding him to the front line would be very interesting.
Maybe going for both is unrealistic, but we could definitely see one of the two tempted to Anfield. There are parallels to be drawn with Raheem Sterling going to Man City at the age of 20. Arsenal would be reluctant as Liverpool were, but money talks.
If you could buy ANY Premier League player right now, who are you signing for Liverpool this summer?

It beggars belief that these two could be on the market this summer, but it’s the kind of rare opportunity you have to try to seize. Liverpool should at least be making enquiries.
