Liam Rosenior probably doesn’t want to be in front of a camera right now, but he’s got to take his press conference ahead of the game against Brighton tomorrow night.

First on the agenda was injury news – Joao Pedro missed Saturday’s game with a thigh problem, while Estevao and Enzo Fernandez were taken off during the game with new issues. Rosenior gave an update on all three.

Rosenior’s injury update on key attacking trio

“Joao will be a late call. He was on the pitch today, we will make a decision tomorrow morning,” the manager explained.

“Este is definitely out for tomorrow. We are doing further tests. Enzo is absolutely fine.”

If ever there was a time to risk JP, this was it. Chelsea are totally toothless without him, and if he’s at all fit he will surely play. Estevao’s hamstring injury looks pretty bad and we don’t expect to see him for a while – perhaps not again this season. We have to wait for those scans to determine just how bad his problem is.

The good news is that Enzo is ok – it only looked like cramp. We definitely need his eye for goal on the pitch tomorrow night.

In other news…

Cole Palmer was frustrated at Alejandro Garnacho for his poor defending on the goal that Man U scored on Saturday.

Alan Shearer has spread the blame for Chelsea’s bad season between the owners and Liam Rosenior.
