Leeds United could head to Wembley on Sunday with their Premier League status for next season virtually assured. A victory at Bournemouth will take Daniel Farke's men 11 points clear of Tottenham, giving them a huge advantage in the fight to avoid the drop.
It would be a huge fillip ahead of their FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea. While Leeds will still head to the national stadium full of confidence and in great spirits after a positive few weeks, the same cannot be said with the same certainty about Chelsea.
Liam Rosenior is a new manager already under a significant amount of pressure and scrutiny, with four successive league defeats leaving his side facing the prospect of no Champions League football next season.
Ahead of this weekend's cup match-up, Rosenior has been told if he loses to Leeds at Wembley, that could be the end of his time in charge of Chelsea. That's the view of talkSPORT presenter Jeff Stelling, who fears the former Hull City manager could be for the chop if his Blues lose to the Whites.
"I feel for Liam Rosenior. I feel the FA Cup is keeping him in a job," said Stelling." "If they were to lose to Leeds, I would fear for him, but it's an incredibly difficult situation.
"But one thing that worries me is that they haven't got a massive number of injuries, but I am looking at the squad that has been assembled there and how poor it is and wondering could Chelsea be next season's Tottenham?
"They are winless in four Premier League games, but the situation is much, much worse than that. They are tumbling down the table. The prospect of them not having any form of European football next season is realistic.
"They have the same number of points as Brentford and Bournemouth, and Spurs have had three managers since Chelsea last kept a Premier League clean sheet."
