Lauren positive of Arsenal's title chances despite City loss

Arsenal Invincible, Lauren, refused to get drawn into any talk that the Gunners' chances of winning the Premier League title were now unlikely, following Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.

Speaking to CasinoWizard, the fullback still believed that Arsenal would go on to lift the trophy.

“I’m positive, and I am confident."

"Losing against Manchester City has not ended the race for the title."

Lauren also claimed that any discussion of Mikel Arteta losing his job for failing to win a trophy should be stopped.

Arsenal have had a challenging few weeks, losing the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley, being knocked out of the FA Cup by Southampton, and losing to both Bournemouth and Manchester City to see their Premier League title challenge derailed.

"All the talk of [Mikel] Arteta being at risk and Arsenal winning no trophies needs to stop.

*"I don’t think that way, because I think Arsenal are going to win the Premier League."*

"The only issue against Manchester City was that they took their chances and Arsenal didn’t.

The only disappointment was in the final third, “That’s the difference in those types of games, the small margins are highlighted for everybody to see.

"**Manchester City* weren’t better, they aren’t better, they just took their chances."*

Lauren claims that Manchester City's winning goal should have been disallowed for a foul by Erling Haaland on Arsenal defender Gabriel. Leading up to the goal, Haaland and Gabriel were pulling at each other, and no complaints were made by any Arsenal player or by VAR.

However, Lauren is adamant that the goal should not have stood for a foul on the Brazilian defender.

“For me [Erling] Haaland was the one doing the fouling."

"Then you have to put your body in, you have to try to be strong and don't lose your balance."

“But, I think it was nothing. Even in the goal that Haaland scored, he pulled his shirt."

"It should have been a foul and a disallowed goal."

“I mean, have a look at the action properly. I believe that one was a foul that the referee didn't see, and it changed the game."
