Report: When£56m striker will make decision about possibly playing for Chelsea next season

Nicolas Jackson will be glad that he is not at Chelsea right now, with things going from bad to worse for his parent club.

In contrast, Bayern Munich are enjoying another successful season. They wrapped up the Bundesliga title over the weekend and are into the Champions League semi-finals.

You could not blame Jackson for not wanting to return to Chelsea in the summer.

Are you taking Nicolas Jackson back at Chelsea in the summer? Is he better than what we’ve got?

Nicolas Jackson will make decision on future after World Cup

Despite the chaos at Chelsea right now, with fans recently protesting against BlueCo, Jackson does not actually appear to be against returning to the club.

According to The Sun, the striker is warming to the idea of going back to Chelsea and remaining there for the 2026/27 season.

However, the same outlet claims that Jackson will not hold talks about his future until after the World Cup.

Jackson joined Bayern on loan with an obligation to buy. The fee is set at £56m, but certain conditions need to be met for it to be triggered, and time appears to have run out for the 24-year-old to meet them.

Despite being one of his biggest critics, John Obi Mikel recently stated that Chelsea are missing Jackson.

Why chances of Nicolas Jackson return are increasing

The good news for Mikel is that he may get to see Jackson in a blue shirt again. There could soon be room for the Senegal international in Chelsea’s first-team squad.

One reason why Jackson decided to leave Stamford Bridge was because of the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. The latter could be departing soon, though.

Delap has interest from other clubs, and he could be tempted to join one of them after his lack of starts this season.

A lot has happened between Jackson and Chelsea, so you would not predict the former Villarreal man to remain at the Blues. However, based on the above, you would not rule it out either. It is unlikely, but not impossible and the chances are going up.
