Man Utd Injury News And Return Dates: Updates On Leny Yoro&2 Others

Man Utd centre-back Leny Yoro missed the 1-0 win over Chelsea at the weekend due to a minor knock.

Speaking just before the game at Stamford Bridge, manager Michael Carrick said he is hoping to have the 20-year-old back soon:

“Hopefully, it’s only small, but he’s obviously not ready for tonight. It’s part of football, you know? We’ve got a pretty good squad, in terms of injuries, really.”

Yoro will have some additional time to recover for United’s next fixture, which is on Monday.

Expected Return Date – Monday 27th April vs Brentford (h)

Patrick Dorgu

Carrick confirmed at the weekend that the Denmark international has still not returned to full training. Asked whether he would make the matchday squad for the Chelsea match on Saturday night, the Red Devils boss said:

“Patrick is not [ready] no. He’s going well, rehabbing well, he’s kind of on track, but he’s not with us in terms of training yet. But he’s back on the pitch, as I’ve already said, so that’s positive.”

Dorgu was expected to be on the sidelines for 10 weeks with a hamstring injury, but he has now been unavailable for over 12.

The wingback last made an appearance during the 3-2 win over Arsenal at the Emirates in late January.

Expected Return Date – Unknown

Matthijs de Ligt

The centre-back has a chronic back problem that has forced him to miss almost five months of football.

De Ligt last played in the 2-1 away win against Crystal Palace at the end of November, and there are serious doubts that he will play again this season.

There are no indications that the Netherlands international is close to taking part in light training, let alone full training sessions.

Expected Return Date – Unknown
