The Reds may have to pay £87 million to sign Diomande and months in advance of the transfer window, they have held “concrete talks” with the player’s representatives at Roc Nation Sports. However, Liverpool and RB Leipzig have not reached any kind of agreement over the 19-year-old’s next move.
Leipzig aim to extend the youngster’s contract and adjust his salary at the club.
While Diomande could replace Gabriel Martinelli at the Emirates Stadium if the Arsenal speedster’s exit is finalised in the summer, PSG have also held a meeting with the Ivorian’s agents and are in the race for his signature.
Arsenal eyeing two wingers apart from Yan Diomande
Arsenal admire Anthony Gordon as well as Bradley Barcola and have shortlisted the pair among several other top European clubs as potential new recruits.
The Gunners’ intention seems to be geared towards adding another attacking player to their ranks after signing Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke last summer.
As a result, even if Diomande opts for a move to either Liverpool and PSG, Arsenal have alternatives in place to come in and take them to the next level.
