Real Madrid struck a deal worth €60m with the club when the striker was 16, then one of the most sought-after youngsters in world football, heading to the Spanish capital two years later in the summer of 2024.

Estevao Willian is another product of the Palmeiras academy with Chelsea winning the race for his signature, joining up with the Blues squad last summer. The winger turned down a move to United to link up with the Blues where he has been a bright spark in an otherwise underwhelming season at Stamford Bridge.

“Although he did not receive early recognition like his predecessors, the expectation is that Eduardo will achieve the same feats as the Lyon and Chelsea duo,’ said Transfermarkt’s Brazilian football expert Thiago Rabelo.
