Manchester City face a significant challenge ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash against Burnley, with midfielder Rodri expected to miss out and centre-back Ruben Dias remaining sidelined.
Pep Guardiola confirmed the double injury blow as his side bids to chase down league leaders Arsenal.
Rodri sustained his injury late in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium. Guardiola indicated the 29-year-old Spain international's issue appeared to be groin-related.
Portugal international Dias, meanwhile, has not featured since last month's Champions League Round of 16 second-leg home defeat by Real Madrid.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Guardiola provided an update. "I think for tomorrow Rodri will not be ready. We will see for the FA Cup semi-final against Southampton (this weekend)," he stated, before adding, "Dias is not ready yet."

These injuries arrive at a critical point in the Premier League title race. Arsenal, who are aiming for their first league title since 2004, lead the standings with 70 points from 33 matches. City are three points behind on 67, but hold a crucial game in hand.
While Mikel Arteta's Arsenal have experienced a dip in form, losing their last four domestic matches across all competitions, City have rediscovered momentum since defeating the Gunners in the Carabao Cup final last month.
Guardiola acknowledged the demanding nature of their recent schedule.
"It's a demanding game we had (on Sunday), both emotionally and physically. But at the same time, we have six games left. We know exactly what is going to happen, when we get the result or if we don't get the result," he explained.
He further emphasised the high stakes for both title contenders.
"Both teams know they cannot lose or drop points. It will be difficult to recover, and our calendar is so demanding."
Reflecting on the chase, Guardiola concluded: "For the team chasing, it is more difficult mentally and physically. After what happened against Arsenal, we have to go to Burnley and perform at the level we have to."
