Confirmed Chelsea XI vs Brighton with Joao Pedro and another key player missing

Chelsea are about to take on Joao Pedro’s former club Brighton & Hove Albion and will be desperate for a win.

Liam Rosenior’s side have not picked up three points in the Premier League since the beginning of March and are currently on a run of four consecutive losses.

They lost 1-0 to Manchester United last time out, with Pedro missing the game because of injury.

Pedro has been Chelsea’s most consistent attacker this season, scoring 14 goals in 32 league appearances. He has also managed to provide five assists across those games.

In all competitions, Pedro has found the back of the net on 19 occasions, meaning that he should reach the 20-goal mark before the end of the campaign.

The Brazilian could face serious competition for his place in the starting XI next term, as Chelsea continue to be linked with Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez.

Alvarez has already told Chelsea that he wants to play up front, a condition he has laid out ahead of a potential transfer away from Atletico this summer.

Regarding Chelsea’s current attack, Liam Delap and Pedro Neto have been given the nod at the Amex Stadium. Rosenior will need more from both players, especially the former, who has really struggled in front of goal this season.
