A 3-0 defeat on Tuesday night to Brighton leaves Chelsea facing the serious chance of not qualifying for Europe in the Premier League.
Blues fans made their feelings known at full-time as Rosenior and the squad headed over to the AMEX Stadium away end, shortly before the manager lambasted his players’ lack of effort during the game.
Now, Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol reports that discussions are taking place amongst Chelsea’s hierarchy over whether to sack Rosenior.
“Chelsea’s sporting leadership are now discussing what to do next,” Solhekol wrote on X. “They are taking stock of the situation after last night’s shocking performance at Brighton. Although the club have backed Liam Rosenior up to this point, football is ultimately a results business.
“It’s too early to say whether Rosenior will definitely be in charge for the Leeds game on Sunday. As things stand, he remains in charge, but the situation could change. Chelsea players have the day off today.”
