Manchester United scouts have been watching Alex Scott as the search for a Casemiro replacement heats up ahead of the summer transfer window.
While Manchester United’s interest in signing Aurelien Tchouameni has begun to take prominence in the midfield recruitment drive, Alex Scott remains an option.
United are interested in multiple Bournemouth players, and among them is Scott, who has emerged this season as one of the best up-and-coming midfielders in the Premier League.
Scott would likely be a second midfield signing rather than the number one addition. But that is no slight against how United view him.

Manchester United scouts impressed with Alex Scott
Interest in this summer is nothing new, with United having long-term interest in Scott, and this summer is the most likely time for a move to occur.
Now, according to The Mirror, United scouts have been making checks over Scott recently as they prepare to make a move for him this summer.
United and Chelsea are both taking an interest in Scott, with interest not thought to be limited to these two, thanks to his brilliant performances this season.

Alex Scott and Aurelien Tchouameni would be incredible midfield signings
Given the situation United are in right now with Casemiro leaving, along with potentially Manuel Ugarte, signing one midfielder isn’t the plan.
So, while Tchouameni might be United’s top choice, as reliable reports continue to suggest, he will need to be supplemented with another addition, and Scott fits perfectly as this.
United will need at least two top options in both of the midfield roles, and Scott, along with newly important Kobbie Mainoo, as the more progressive options, would be excellent depth.
It would mean United need to find a Tchouameni back-up, with Carrington potentially providing this in Jacob Devaney.
United’s midfield could be league-leading next season if this is the plan.
