The Blues slumped to their fifth league defeat in a row without scoring after they lost 3-0 to Brighton on Tuesday evening.
It felt like a pivotal moment for Rosenior, as the away fans chanted against him, whilst both he and the players were booed at full time as they came to applaud the supporters.
Chelsea deciding on Liam Rosenior future
Rosenior came out after the Brighton loss and threw the players under the bus, comments which are understood to have not gone down well.
Chelsea had previously insisted they were backing Rosenior, but the fan discontent and the current run of form could see them reconsider their position.
The Blues have stressed they wanted to give Rosenior time, but the defeat to Brighton could be the final straw and Romano has provided an update.
He took to X.com and said:
“Meetings ongoing during the morning and again now at Chelsea to make final decision on Liam Rosenior’s future.
“The head coach always felt support from the hierarchy in recent weeks but results have been poor… and Chelsea are seriously considering a change of direction.”
