Chelsea have already decided what type of manager they want after sacking Liam Rosenior

Liam Rosenior has been sacked as the manager of Chelsea, and the club are prioritising a head coach with experience to replace him.

A 3-0 defeat to Brighton has made his position untenable at Stamford Bridge, and Liam Rosenior reportedly said his goodbyes to the Chelsea squad after their loss.

The board have been involved in meetings today to discuss whether Rosenior will be a part of the club’s future, and the decision has been made to relieve him of his duties.

Chelsea fans, if Liam Rosenior was sacked before the FA Cup semi-final, who would you want to see in charge?

Chelsea want an experienced manager to replace Liam Rosenior

The limited tenure that the likes of Graham Potter, Enzo Maresca and now Rosenior have now been handed suggests that the club have got things wrong consistently when it comes to who is in charge of the first team squad.

There seems to be a conscious effort to address this though. According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are keen to bring in an experienced head coach when they permanently replace Rosenior.

Supporters completely lost faith that the former Strasbourg boss was the one to bring the club forwards, and now the Blues have had to bite the bullet on that decision too.

All the club have left to play for now is the FA Cup, and it will be Calum McFarlane leading the Blues out at Wembley.

Early candidate to replace Liam Rosenior

Marco Silva has emerged as an early candidate to replace the Englishman at Stamford Bridge. His contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

He has managed three different Premier League sides, and has largely overachieved during his time down the road at Fulham.

Cesc Fabregas has been mentioned as a potential candidate, however would likely not fit the bill when it comes to finding an experienced manager.

With faith in the BlueCo project at an all-time low, they simply have to get the next managerial appointment right.
