Sources: How much Liam Rosenior will receive from Chelsea as payoff after sacking

Chelsea have confirmed that Liam Rosenior has been relieved of his duties after just 106 days in charge at Stamford Bridge, and GIVEMESPORT sources have now revealed how much he will receive in compensation.

It was confirmed on Wednesday that Chelsea had made the decision to sack Rosenior after a run of six defeats in their last seven games.

The former Strasbourg manager enjoyed an impressive start to life at Stamford Bridge, winning six of his opening seven games, but the Blues have gone downhill in recent weeks.

Chelsea are preparing for an FA Cup semi-final clash with Leeds United this weekend, and they've acted quickly following their defeat against Brighton in the Premier League this week.

GIVEMESPORT understands that Rosenior will receive in the region of £4m following his sacking at Chelsea.

The former Chelsea boss will receive just one year of compensation, despite signing a six-year deal with the west London club back in January.

Calum McFarlane will now take charge of the senior Chelsea squad for the remainder of the season, allowing them time to find a suitable replacement ahead of the 2026/2027 campaign.

GIVEMESPORT understands that Chelsea were hoping to keep Rosenior and back him, but the run of five straight defeats in the Premier League without scoring forced their hand.

In Chelsea's full statement, they confirmed that McFarlane would take charge for the remainder of the season, expressing their gratitude to Rosenior.

"Chelsea Football Club has today parted company with Head Coach Liam Rosenior.

On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, we would like to place on record our gratitude to Liam and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club.

Liam has always conducted himself with the highest integrity and professionalism following his appointment mid-way through the season.

This has not been a decision the Club has taken lightly, however recent results and performances have fallen below the necessary standards with still so much more to play for this season. Everyone at Chelsea FC wishes Liam every success in the future.

Calum McFarlane will take charge of the team as Interim Head Coach until the end of the season with support from existing Club backroom staff, as we strive to achieve European qualification and progress in the FA Cup.

As the Club works to bring stability to the Head Coach position, we will undertake a process of self-reflection to make the right long-term appointment."
