Report: Chelsea eyeing manager who’s worked with Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham

Chelsea are once again on the lookout for a new manager after sacking Liam Rosenior on Wednesday.

Rosenior only arrived at Stamford Bridge in January, but after a run of five consecutive defeats in the Premier League, Chelsea have decided to get rid of him.

Several names are now being linked with the Chelsea job, including a former Borussia Dortmund head coach.

Chelsea considering Edin Terzic

Edin Terzic, who was Dortmund’s permanent manager between 2022 and 2024, is currently without a club and appears to be one option on Chelsea’s shortlist.

According to BBC Sport, Terzic is being considered as a possible replacement for Rosenior in the summer.

The same outlet has claimed that Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, who is leaving the Vitality Stadium at the end of the season, and Fulham’s Marco Silva are also in contention for the vacancy.

Elsewhere, it has been reported that Chelsea are ready to change their strategy and hire a manager with experience at the highest level.

Taking Dortmund to the Champions League final in the 2023/24 season, Terzic fits the bill for the Blues.

He also knows what it is like to work in a dressing room with big players after coaching both Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham.

How Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham performed under Edin Terzic

Haaland had a good record under Terzic, but that will not surprise too many people. The striker scores in any team he plays in.

According to Transfermarkt, the Manchester City star scored 24 goals in 27 games while working with the German.

Bellingham did not play too badly under Terzic either. He scored 17 goals and provided eight assists in 71 matches.

It was his power, physicality and maturity in midfield, though, that made the England international such an asset to Dortmund.

If Terzic does end up joining Chelsea, hopefully he can get the Blues’ best players to perform like Haaland and Bellingham did under him.
