16 year old Marli Salmon has followed Max Dowman by signing a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal.
It means that the defender will sign a professional contract with the club when he turns 17.
Having gone on the club’s pre-season tour last summer, he has gone on to make four senior appearances for the club, after he was handed his debut in the Champions League against Club Brugge in December.
Salmon, who is an Arsenal supporter, and is yet another product of their Hale End academy, has been at the club since the age of nine, and has featured both as a centre-back and right back.
Last October, he was picked by England at under-17 level for the first time, and was then a late call-up for the under-17 World Cup.
He is highly rated at Arsenal, despite his relatively young age and they believe that he can develop into a top player for club and country in the future.
