The deteriorating relationship between Liam Rosenior and the Chelsea squad has been further highlighted after what one player said behind his back.
Chelsea players became unconvinced by Liam Rosenior’s shift away from Enzo Maresca’s established blueprint, leading to a visible drop in intensity and belief on the pitch.
Gary Neville’s assessment that certain senior figures stitched up the manager highlights a Chelsea squad that had mentally checked out, appearing more resigned to the season’s end than willing to fight for a coach they no longer respected.
With instructions being ignored and senior players falling silent in meetings, Rosenior was left isolated.
It now leaves interim boss Calum McFarlane to pick up the pieces of a group that had effectively forced a change at the top.

One Chelsea player called Liam Rosenior the ‘supply teacher’
In a report from BBC Sport, it is claimed that one Chelsea player even gave Liam Rosenior the nickname “the supply teacher”.
A classic sign of disrespect from an unnamed Chelsea player that showed they didn’t see him as a long-term solution, nor did they really buy into his vision.
That’s not the only thing, as there was also some unrest when it came to the use of Josh Acheampong, who was barely used under Liam Rosenior.

Chelsea have learned their lesson with Liam Rosenior
The Chelsea board has entered a period of self-reflection after acknowledging that the Liam Rosenior experiment was a mistake that arrived too soon for the young manager.
Consequently, the owners are now expected to abandon high-risk, potential-based appointments in favor of a proven, long-term leader this summer.
And there are even some early names in the running, with Andoni Iraola the manager who has been personally chosen by Behdad Eghbali as Rosenior’s potential replacement in the summer.
