The chances of Man City captain Bernardo Silva joining Arsenal on a free transfer are “remote”, according to ESPN Brasil reporter Bruno Andrade.

Silva has officially announced that he will be leaving the Etihad Stadium after nine years this summer when his contract expires.
Andrade claims that the Gunners are “monitoring” his situation, along with the likes of Barcelona.
However, the likelihood of the Portuguese international choosing the North London club is deemed to be very low, mainly due to the recent rivalry between the two teams, as well as other factors.
Arteta does like to sign Man City players
Mikel Arteta was City‘s assistant manager before he was appointed Arsenal head coach in December 2019, and since then, he has brought in no less than three former City stars.
Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus were signed directly from Pep Guardiola’s side, while Raheem Sterling arrived on loan from Chelsea.
Over the years, other ex-City players, including Leroy Sane, have also been linked with transfers to the Emirates. Silva is just the latest.

Silva is set snub Arsenal for a team on the continent
Andrade claims that the 31-year-old isn’t interested in staying in the Premier League or moving to Saudi Arabia. He has also decided to delay any potential return to former club Benfica, who he sees as his final destination before he retires.
The attacking midfielder still believes he can cut it at the very highest level, so he is seeking a move to a team in mainland Europe with ambitions of winning titles.
In that context, a move to Barcelona makes sense, but a lot may depend on whether the La Liga giants can satisfy his wage demands.
