Ian Wright and Gary Neville have clashed ahead of the FA Cup semi-final between Leeds United and Chelsea.

Wembley Stadium is preparing to play host to the Whites and the Blues with a place at the showpiece final at stake.

Daniel Farke’s side secured victory over West Ham to seal their place in the capital, while the Stamford Bridge outfit breezed past Port Vale.

The semi-final opponents are coming into the clash at the home of English football in contrasting form, which looks set to make for an interesting encounter.

That has seen Wright and Neville offer differing predictions as Leeds prepare to face Chelsea on Sunday.

Ian Wright contradicts Gary Neville in Chelsea vs Leeds United prediction

There will be hope building at Elland Road that their side can travel to Wembley and secure a historic victory.

With Liam Rosenior now sacked by the West London club after a string of terrible results, the scales look to have tipped in Leeds’ favour.

Football doesn’t always work that way, and Farke can’t take anything for granted when his men travel down south at the weekend.

That uncertainty has been echoed as Neville and Wright both gave differing predictions for the FA Cup semi-final while speaking on Stick to Football.

The former Manchester United said: “I think it’s a draw in 90 minutes. We’re 1-1.”

Wright didn’t agree with his co-host as he hit back with, “We’re going to go Leeds. 2-1 Leeds.”

Leeds may have an on-paper advantage over Chelsea, but it is clear that almost any result could happen in the capital on Saturday.

How Leeds can secure victory vs Chelsea

The London club are certainly there to be gotten at and proved that with their most recent 3-0 defeat away to Brighton.

Chelsea failed to create a single big chance and didn’t even have a shot on target throughout the entire 90 minutes at the Amex.

That saw them rack up an expected goals tally of just 0.37, while the Seagulls created five big chances of their own and just got in and around Rosenior’s side and ultimately got him sacked.

Leeds have to learn from that, maintain a high level of intensity and take their chances to get past the Blues and earn a spot in an FA Cup final.
