Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has regularly received abuse and the Sky Sports pundit spoke about it after an incident ahead of Burnley vs Manchester City

Sky Sports apologised to Gary Neville after the former Manchester United star received another spate of abuse ahead of the clash between Manchester City and Burnley. "I am sorry for the words that got shouted at you there by the way," said a Sky Sports News presenter in conversation with the pundit, who was providing his insight at Turf Moor.
Neville then offered an impassioned comment following the incident on the state of abuse in football. Reflecting on the social media criticism Rosenior has received, the Salford City owner offered up his own experience, just days after a moment went viral of him being abused while walking down the street.
"That’s the world that we live in," he said. "I have just walked past a box over there and been abused by four blokes, who are going to get kicked out of this stadium in about five minutes.
“I’ve had enough, people just basically abusing you all of the time, going above and beyond, I will take stick with the rest of them.
“But it has become too easy for everybody to abuse footballer managers, football pundits, football coaches and football players and just think there will be no consequences.”
Neville revealed that he worried about being bitten by a dog when confronted in the street, when facing vile verbal abuse when out with his wife, Emma.
The man filming the video was heard saying: "Is that Gary Neville? W*****, w*****, w*****. That's what you are, a f***ing w*****. Listen, listen. I'm filming because you're a f***ing w*****.

"You've got f*** all to know about the working class man you have. Even your own fans have turned against you, cause you're a f***ing p****."
Speaking about the incident on the Overlap, Neville revealed further detail. He said: "He had quite a, I'm presuming, a really aggressive dog with him on a lead.
"And I thought he was gonna let the dog go. I thought it was one of them where he was going to go like that."
He added: "Do you know what I should have done - the mistake I made? I should have filmed him, because no one can see who he is.
"Do you know what I mean? And I think if I'd have filmed him, he might not have put it out. I don't know."
