Report: Everton talisman has been added to Chelsea's transfer shortlist this summer

Everton have had their best season probably since the 2020/21 campaign under Carlo Ancelotti.

As a result, some of Everton’s key players have been linked with a move away at different stages.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa were keen on signing James Garner before he penned a new long-term deal.

Iliman Ndiaye has also been mooted with a move to Manchester United and Arsenal after another impressive year on Merseyside.

Now, there is a fresh report coming out about Ndiaye, as Chelsea are now circling his signature.

Chelsea add Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye to their transfer shortlist

According to Si Philips, Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Ndiaye, who has been wanted by supporters for some time in West London.

It seems Chelsea have a very scattergun approach to transfers, so the link shouldn’t be too much of a worry for Everton fans.

Chelsea are often linked to 25-plus players every window, but the board only follow up with a bid on a fraction of those rumoured targets.

It very much feels like this could be the case here, as Ndiaye has already stated he’s really happy at Everton.

Speaking back in January, the 25-year-old said: “I am really happy to be at this club and be part of a new project with the new stadium, new ownership.

“It feels like a new adventure for all of us.”

Plus, the way the season is unfolding, the Toffees might be in Europe next season while Chelsea miss out on a top-seven finish.

So, it could end up being a backward step in his career, especially with the current instability at Chelsea.
