Chelsea will plough on with the same sporting directors, according to Kaveh Solhekol, who says nothing is set to change.

Another manager is gone from Chelsea – but will the Blues ever do what’s really necessary and change the sporting directors? It seems not.
Despite failing on almost all of their transfer decisions, and doing an even worse job picking coaches, the cluster of suits led by Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart remain safe in their jobs, at least according to Kaveh Solhekol.
Chelsea “unlikely” to change sporting leadership despite another failure
“Chelsea’s statement announcing Rosenior’s departure says they will reflect before making a new appointment, but the big question is will the controversial structure that has been put in place – including five sporting directors – remain in place?,” the Sky Sports journalist wrote on their website.
The answer, it seems, is no:
“There is unlikely to be major surgery performed at the club at the football leadership group level in the summer, but nothing ever stays the same at Chelsea for too long.”
That gives us a flash of hope – but if these guys were really in trouble, we would already know about it.
In other news…
One manager on the shortlist is apparently Matthias Jaissle, formerly of the Red Bull group. It wouldn’t be the experienced coach we’re said to want – but it’s an interesting idea.
Behdad Eghbali has been named as the “driving force” behind the sacking of Liam Rosenior in the last 48 hours.
