Chelsea fans have already picked their ideal replacement for Liam Rosenior

Chelsea have decided to part ways with Liam Rosenior, and Blues fans have already told us they would like to see Cesc Fabregas become the new boss.

A 3-0 defeat at Brighton, their fifth Premier League defeat in a row without scoring a goal, was the straw that broke the camel’s back, and ended a three month tenure for Liam Rosenior.

Chelsea players certainly lost faith in the manager, with some individuals completely ignoring instructions from the boss during their trip to the Amex.

Chelsea fans want Cesc Fabregas as their next manager

Unfortunately, this decision has been coming for a while now, and we asked Chelsea fans on TalkingPoints who they wanted to see take the manager’s place in the dugout for the start of next season.

The former Chelsea midfielder is currently enjoying a very successful start to life as a manager in Serie A with Como. They are still in the fight for European qualification this season.

However, reports have stated that Fabregas is not currently open to taking the Chelsea job, and the Blues are likely to have to look elsewhere to find their new permanent head coach.

Reports have stated that the club are prioritising Premier League experience when they bring in a new manager at the end of the season.

This is perhaps why Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola is Behdad Eghbali’s number one choice at this stage to take over as manager.

The Blues are not expected to rush into a decision over who will be the next permanent manager, with Calum McFarlane placed in temporary charge of the Blues.

The former academy coach took charge when Maresca was sacked, and will lead the Blues out at Wembley to face Leeds United in the FA Cup semi-finals.
