The Rangers star has been linked to Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, West Ham United and more
Arsenal and West Ham United are claimed to be two clubs who may actively pursue a Rangers player this summer.
Emmanuel Fernandez has been named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year in his first year at Ibrox after signing from Peterborough United. He has flourished under head coach Danny Rohl, having started just one Premiership game between August and November, amid a difficult start after being brought in by previous boss Russell Martin.
Six goals in 27 matches has helped spark mass interest and teamTALK claim Arsenal lead a clutch of Premier League sides waiting to pounce on a star who’s pricetag could soar towards £35m. West Ham are another with active intentions. Reporting states: “Rangers are braced for significant interest and are reportedly set to demand at least £25m – with some sources suggesting a higher valuation up to £35m – for the centre-back, who has three years left on his contract.

Who wants to sign Emmanuel Fernandez this summer?
“Arsenal lead the domestic pursuit, with the Gunners closely monitoring the giant defender as a potential reinforcement for their backline. Chelsea have also shown keen interest, while West Ham United are actively linked and could make a concrete approach. Everton complete a notable Premier League contingent keeping tabs on his progress.
“In Europe, Bundesliga sides Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have registered strong admiration, with some sources indicating they were among the earliest to show interest. Dortmund in particular are seen as strong contenders. Belgian outfit Club Brugge are understood to be seriously pursuing the player, while Dutch clubs Ajax and Feyenoord have been mentioned as potential suitors, too.”
Rohl said of Fernandez after he earned his first Nigeria call-up ahead of a battle with Dundee United ealrier this month: "Football is about development. It's about belief. I think it was not easy for him when I arrived. He was, I will not say far away, but he was not in a position to be a starter. And then there was a little bit of an issue with timing when he got injuries and then he stepped up.
Danny Rohl on Emmanuel Fernandez at Rangers
"In general now he puts in a great performance, week by week. There's still things to improve but when you look at it, you sign a player from League One and he goes on to the national team and he scores. It's important for us to win something, but besides the results it's also a great way to show players what you can do at Rangers, we want to develop players.
"It's not a secret that part of our business is to create value for the club. I think when you see now how we create the value for money, then he's a little bit of a role model. Now it's about playing consistently at this level, not dropping back. He's calm on the ball. He is getting better and better also against the ball.
"There's a reason why I put him in, I trust him. And we should not forget he's still a right-footed player on the left side and he's doing really well in that. I'm happy with his development and hope it continues because it's the most important thing in football. It's never about the past, it's always about tomorrow."
