Manchester City's new home shirt for next season appears to have leaked online - and it's dividing opinion among supporters.

Manchester City’s brand new home kit for the forthcoming 2026/27 season appears to have been leaked online – with a new photograph allegedly showing the new shirt in full after weeks of rumours about Puma’s new design.

An Instagram post from story_jersey2, who has leaked accurate images of new Premier League shirts in the past, appears to confirm the template seen in a number of previous mock-ups and AI images – with an article from Footy Headlines containing details of most of the prior leaks. 3 Added Minutes has not been able to independently verify the pictures at the time of publishing, but here’s a look at City’s apparent new strip…

What Manchester City’s new 2026/27 home kit looks like – according to leaks

The social media post above purports to be the first genuine image of Manchester City’s new home shirt for next season – and while it’s perhaps less bold than the sash design on the current kit, the graded design, gradually drifting from white at the base to the traditional sky blue at the top of the chest, is certainly a fresh twist on the established look.

The thick round collar and sleeve trim will be white, with the club crest, manufacturer’s logo and front of shirt sponsor all picked out in white as well. Small white epaulettes finish off a design that’s both simple and a little different.

The image above matches descriptions of the new kit which have leaked at various times over the past two months, and that may suggest that similarly unconfirmed details about the club’s third kit will also prove to be true.

Although there is less hard evidence that the details are accurate, current rumours indicate that the third shirt for 2026/27 will be predominantly white with two bars of dark and sky blue running vertically down the centre of the shirt – a look that’s extremely similar to Chelsea’s away kit from the 2003/04 season.

Fans react to divisive new Manchester City kit

Details of the new Manchester City kits will likely only be confirmed when the new shirts are officially launched – Footy Headlines claims that they will be released in May, although no date has been set by the club or manufacturer at the time of writing.

The initial reaction from supporters on social media to Puma’s new design – in their ninth years as Manchester City’s kit manufacturer – has been largely, but not universally, positive, with most fans appearing to be pleased with the new jersey.

The majority opinion appears to have been captured by comments which described the shirt as “sleek” and even “inspired,” although there have been no shortage of dissenting voices, with the substantial collar a sticking point for some fans.

At the least the reaction to this year’s apparel has thus far been more generous than the reception given to the club’s historically awful grey and neon yellow third kit from the current campaign, which has been widely derided as being among the very worst in Premier League history.
