Manchester City have edged ahead in the Premier League title race, just, following their 1-0 victory at Burnley. Arsenal and City are now level on 70 points, with identical win-draw-loss records and the same goal difference.
City sit at the summit purely on goals scored - 66 to 63 - but won't play again in the league until May 4 owing to their FA Cup semi-final against Southampton. The Gunners can reclaim top spot by avoiding defeat against Newcastle on Saturday, though realistically they'll need all three points to crank up the pressure on Pep Guardiola's side.
Arsenal supporters are understandably nervous after watching their once-commanding lead steadily whittled away by City. However, past results against their remaining rivals may offer a glimmer of hope as the Gunners bid to end their long wait for a league title...

Should these outcomes be repeated - unlikely, we appreciate - Arsenal would be hoisting the Premier League trophy aloft, but only after a nail-biting final-day showdown. The Gunners claimed victory in the reverse fixtures against all five of their remaining rivals, while City won four of their five, suffering defeat only to Villa, who visit the Etihad on the final day.
