Enzo Fernandez has so far given Chelsea no clarity over his future, although the club are confident they will convince him to stay if they get the next managerial appointment correct.
The Blues have sacked Liam Rosenior following a run of five successive Premier League defeats, all without finding the net.
Enzo Fernandez was unavailable for one of these against Manchester City after the manager decided to suspend him internally following comments regarding his future.

Chelsea believe hiring the right manager will convince Enzo Fernandez to stay
This decision didn’t go down too well with the playing staff, who seemed to rally towards the boss losing his job in an unfortunate situation.
Chelsea will be feeling the pressure to get their next managerial appointment right due to the recent failures, however they also feel it is important to assist them in convincing Fernandez to stay.

According to FlashScore, the club believe bringing in a respected manager will help the World Cup winner decide to remain at Stamford Bridge.
The Argentine will likely just want some stability. He has already worked under Graham Potter, Frank Lampard, Mauricio Pochettino, Enzo Maresca and Rosenior.
Chelsea are hoping to hire a figure who has worked in the Premier League already after their last two managers had never stepped foot here before.

Candidates to take over at Chelsea
Both Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva currently have contracts that are expiring at the end of the season, opening up a straightforward opportunity to hire either of them.
Club owner Behdad Eghbali is leaning towards Iraola as his preferred candidate after his very impressive campaign at Bournemouth.
Cesc Fabregas is also admired by the club, however it feels too early in his career for that move to happen this summer.
Any decision is likely to not be made until the end of the season, with Calum McFarlane tasked with taking charge of the club internally.
