Arsenal ‘ready to write €30m cheque’ – Andrea Berta already in contact for signing

Arsenal

Arsenal have already set their sights on Club Brugge star Nicolò Tresoldi for the summer.

Last month, Sport Witness covered claims from Germany about Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur making contact to sign the striker. The same source stated the striker is ready to leave for around €25-30m.

The 21-year-old left Hannover 96 for Club Brugge in June 2025 and starred in his debut season.

To put it in context, he scored 18 goals and contributed six assists from 52 matches so far this season.

His Jupiler Pro League stats are as follows:

Appearances: 34

Starts: 23

Total minutes: 2,042

Minutes per game: 60

Goals: 14

Assists: 3

Expected Goals: 12.67

Expected Goals: 2.47

Big chances created: 5

Big chances missed: 13

The Italy-born Germany U21 international’s impressive performances have seen Arsenal and others take notice.

Arsenal want to sign striker

Nicolò Tresoldi hasn’t made his senior debut for Germany and is also eligible to play for Italy. He could receive a call from Azzurri to represent their senior team but it’s not clear whether the player is open to it.

That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who mention this in a report focusing on Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta’s side want to bring him to the Emirates in the summer. TMW say this is their own information and report the Gunners are ‘ready to write a €30m cheque’ to sign the Club Brugge star.

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is ‘already in contact’ with the Jupiler Pro League side to discuss a potential deal. There’s no mention whether he’s open to making a switch to the north London club in the next window.

Why Gunners are looking at Tresoldi

Mikel Arteta has Viktor Gyökeres, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus as the three options to lead his side’s attack.

The Brazilian could be on the move after this season and if that were to happen, Nicolò Tresoldi could take Jesus’ place at Arsenal. They are mainly looking at him as Gyökeres’ backup.

Contract, value and agent info

The Club Brugge frontman will have three years on his contract at the end of this season and his value, as per Transfermarkt, is €13m.

Agency 11Wins with agents Christian Schmid, Stephan Kallass and Louis Downing are representing him.
