**Arsenal Invincible Patrick Vieira says the current group of Gunners stars must “remind themselves” of how they got to the top of the league if they are to secure the title this season.**
The Gunners have let a sizeable lead slip, and Mikel Arteta’s side now find themselves in 2nd place behind Manchester City heading into the [**final five fixtures**](https://goonernews.com/blog/arsenal-news-next-five-games-predictions-title-race-3/). Asked what needs to happen for the team to get back on track, Vieira replied:
“I think I just want them to remind themselves where they are and why they are where they are. Meaning that they are at the top of the league, they are in the semi-final of the Champions League, and you can’t reach that level with no quality, with no team spirit and with no togetherness.”
“It’s about winning games, they know how to do it because they’ve been doing it for the last seven, eight months. When we are in the last sprint, I will say it, it’s important not to forget the quality that brings them where they are today, because that will help them to win.”
“I think when you’re going through this run, it’s important not to change the habit. You just keep doing what you used to do and try to enjoy the family time.”
Vieira is calling for composure

It is fair to say that this group of players have had their issues with mental fragility. The shock defeat to Bournemouth in their last home match was a case in point.
That performance did not resemble the Arsenal that fans had been watching all season, and Vieira is calling for a return to first principles to get them over the line.

Their title rivals don’t play their next league match until Monday, 4th May, when they will take on Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Gunners will have two league fixtures before that game. They face Newcastle on Saturday before hosting Fulham the following week. It means they have the perfect opportunity to build a gap between them and City.
