Calum McFarlane has confirmed that Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro are back in training for Chelsea ahead of the Blues’ FA Cup semi-final this weekend.

Both Palmer and Joao Pedro missed the 3-0 defeat against Brighton last time out through injury.

The interim head coach, who has succeeded the recently-sacked Liam Rosenior, also revealed that Estevao would be out for the remainder of the campaign with a hamstring issue.

“Joao and Cole have trained,” McFarlane said on Friday.

“They’re in a good place. We don’t know yet. We’ve got another day tomorrow where we’ll look at that and make a decision.

"Yes we hope [they could both start]. They’ll train tomorrow and we’ll make a call.

"Estevao unfortunately won't play for us this season. He’ll be out for a little bit of time. But we’re here to support him.”
